Okay ...I admit it. I am an ipod junkie. Well ...let me rephrase that ...I am a podcast junkie. No ...wait, lets take it to the highest of all levels. I am addicted to NEW MEDIA. I believe wholeheartedly what it stand for. I could really get on a soapbox ...but I am not going to.

I Love Weekends!
I love being back at work ...but I love my weekends even more. Even when I was off work I still looked forward to the weekend ....there is just something to be said about hanging with friends and family and doing almost nothing.
I wonder what we are going to do this weekend ....last weekend was a pretty good one. Saturday started out shopping and going to the eye doctor ...but ended with friends. Ron had his first party at his home this past saturday. All but one family that he had invited showed up for his get together and they had medical issues so they could not be there. Another couple was out of town and never got the invite until after the fact. We all had a great time chatting and bringing up old times in each of our lives and enjoyed talking about them with close friends and family. Ron's parents were there also and actually stayed until 11:30 pm as they were the first to leave. Donald, Sandy,Amber & Daniel were there as well and are really enjoying being back into Ron's life that they haven't been able to do for a few years now. Everyone had a great time and just enjoyed getting together. As the night was starting to wind down and everyone was getting tired and was thinking about going home, Ron's phone started ringing. It was his significant other wanting to talk to him. After the third call and about everyone had left or was getting ready to Ron said that he was heading into town to see his Buddy. This was at 1:00am and he said that she just wanted to see him and he didn't believe in woman sufferage so he was headed to town to see her. We talked to him Sunday and he all but made a night of it which working nights makes that easy for him. Says he does some of his best work at night! I am just so happy he is getting his life back on track ..its nice seeing the old Ron. I am really looking forward to camping this summer ....it may be the best one yet!

It was back to work today
After being off work on an extended medical leave of absence it was time to go back. I have to admit I was excited about going back ...ready to get back in the swing of things. Believe it or not I was up at 4:00 to start get ready ...how insane is that?
I am sure before too long I will another vacation. Nothing like ATVing, camping and retail therapy.
I am still loving my new phone. I love have a pocket pc and phone rolled into one device. My dear husband got it for me because of everything I have been through over the past several weeks.
While I was off I did manage to get a very successful ebay business off the ground. It was something I always wanted to do but never had the time due to not enough hours in a day. But after my doctor putting me off work and not allowing me to go back until my kidney function was back at the stage one level ....I thought what the heck. It didn't require a lot of effort at all before I was making quite a good profit.
Brittany is taking the presidents physical fitness challenge this week ..and is really working hard to exceed her last scores.
Robert and I went to Lowes tonight to get a switch and I think I found a wonderful set of shelving to the tons of scrap booking supplies I have acquired over the past several weeks. I have a really good portfolio started. It turned out way better than I ever thought it would. I never considered myself as having any creativity ....but I think I have for the first time proven myself wrong.

It has been too long ....
...since I have blogged. I went to the doctor a few weeks ago and was somewhat disappointed with the visit and found off that I am not quite ready to enter the workforce. I had another doctors appointment yesterday and I got good news. My doctor is releasing me back to work on March 19th ....FINALLY. I am still having problems but for the most part I am ready to get back in the swing of a work day.
While I have been off I did have he opportunity to start my "Teach Me To Scrap" podcast. I would have recorded one today if it were not for my face being the size of New York. I had the strangest thing happen ...I have heard of gallstones, kidney stones ...but salivary gland stones??? Well my face is so swelled ..so I am now on antibiotics, a heating pad and believe it or no doctor prescribed lemon drops. I guess the lemon drops is to help try and work the stone out. ANYHOW ...tomorrow I will be recording a new podcast to the "Teach Me To Scrap" show. I have been delighted with the subscribers I have gotten ...and will be sending out hellos to a few of them that have send me emails.
Have I ever mentioned what a wonderful husband I have? ...maybe once or twice? Probably like a few hundred times. I am so just so lucky to have him.
I am coming to grips over losing my best friend. It does get easier everyday. Who in the world thought that I would get so depressed over the whole thing ...but she was more of a sister than a friend and I cared a lot about her. I have lost all my respect for her. She thinks she got one past everyone ...but she didn't. We talk to Ron every day ..and sometimes twice a day. I am happy that he has started to get on with his life and wish the very best for him. Maybe I will end up at the Springs Festival anyway this years with a new buddy.
I have also set up a store in ebay. The ebay thing is harder than what I thought. I started out with some overstock of Mary Kay items that I have. I plan on adding Avon products too. Also ..I will be adding scrapbook items too. I am a consultant also for Memory Works. Memory Works has been through a big change this past year due to growth. They are currently in a black out period as they get their new catalogs ready. If you want to know more about that then listen to my podcast.
Brittany is doing so well in school. She had her first "at the mall" date a few weeks ago. Robert and I drover her there and picked her up. I am not quite ready to send her off in a car with her boyfriend just yet.
I am going to have to super diet this week before I go back to work ..not sure if am going to get back into my work clothes ....I guess gaining weight comes with the territory of not having a lot of physical activity.
Well ...is late at night and I am actually typing this while hanging out in bed with my hubby watching TV ..I think we both want a snack *grin* (see why I fain weight?)
